People who have gotten to know me say that I am a rather amicable laid back sort of person. An acquaintance at the local theater said that I have a great sense of humor, razor sharp wit along with intelligence and common sense.
I am also very independent and not interested in being tied down with a relationship. I see relationships as a royal pain in the ass and I don’t need the drama and stress that goes with them. On my mothers side I am half Swedish (she is full Swede) and on my fathers side I am Irish/Italian with some British thrown in for good measure. The Irish/Italian is dominant with a sharp temperament to match. Don't let this scare you if we should ever meet, just keep it in mind.
On initial greeting you will meet someone who is personable, friendly humorous and out going. I am a thinker and love technology; I guess I could say (gulp) that I'm a geek. My fee time is always involved with something technical or involved with building or fixing something. My favorite pastime now that I am retired is spending time with ParaNormal subjects, primarily Unidentified Flying Objects which I use my Psychology degree to research and my photographic hobby to record the subject. Somewhere in my distant past I managed a college degree while working a full time job and eventually obtained a Phd in the subject of Psychology. I spent enough time in the field to satisfy the requirements for a Phd in the subject. I am not a clinical psychologist, but rather a research Psychologist. I had a college prof at the U of M asked me if things paranormal scared me, I replied 'no not at all.' What scares the HELL out of me is to lose my independence and end up forgotten in a stinky nursing home someplace. I love the outdoors, can't get enough of it, usually. I am very much tuned into world events and consider myself some-what of a news junkie.
I much prefer a quiet evening to rowdy bars or night clubs. I will go on GREAT occasion, although I don't enjoy being around drunks and people who are trying to be something they are not. For me, it's a real turnoff. Speaking of turn offs; people who are pushy, forceful, arrogant, loud or disrespectful of me or others I have zero tolerance or patience. I guess ass holes in general would be a good way to put it. I am a non drinker/smoker/and don't do drugs and that includes marijuana! If you are into that sort of thing and are the party hearty type, we would be exact polar opposites and I would suggest you look elsewhere. I prefer the educated intelligent type of individual.
Like most on this site, I have my kinky side as well. However, it is in it's place. I am a rather hard core realist (stubborn too! More Irish/Italian) or maybe Swede? I firmly believe in Ying and Yang, white/black good/bad side of things. When my life’s priorities are taken care of I can enjoy the kinky side of my life. For me that is part of my fun, and sharing that, for me, is a stretch. I prefer to enjoy my kinky side for myself. DON'T assume I want someone to join in. My kink is not turned on and off on demand by another; If you want to meet the Double I's as I call them, just try and push me into something that I don't want to do.... you will not do it a second time if you are smart. I do have a life besides kink.
I am was transgender, and live my life fully as a woman...period. NOT a gurl (note spelling) or worse a 'tranny' 'just' a woman and wish to be treated as such. I've been on many chat sites and come across the guy who is looking for a 'real' woman and not one that has been changed. BUT in the next sentence he says he doesn't have a problem with Transgender. I've been living as a woman since the early eighties and have encountered many closeted gay guys who try to come on to me as straight. My first question to them is “are you gay?” after that I rarely see them again. I am continually amazed at how many GG's in this day and age still believe that someone who is WAS Transgender is just someone who lives full time a drag queen! For some reason they just can’t put it together. - Monica
